Mathematics Portfolio
my beliefs and practices

I believe:

  • the concrete level of concept development is an essential step for children of all ages.

  • learning math should take place in a real world context that is both relevant and interesting to students.

  • technology, used properly, is instrumental to the understanding and internalization of important mathematical concepts.

  • integration of mathematical learning into the other subject disciplines is both natural and crucial.
